Does Not Smell or Work Great The scent is definitely NOT Cedarwood and Pine Needle. It honestly kind of smells like cigarettes. As for shaping the beard, it does not do that very well, and as for moistening and softening the beard, it does not do that well either. TBC's beard oil is far superior than this product.

EDC The beard balm is great. Use it every day before I leave the house and before going to sleep I use the beard wash and heavy oil. All three keep my beard clean, strong and looking good.
excellent balm for us with wiry beards I have used beard balm from two other sources and wasn't satisfied with them. I didn't like one because it was too much like a beard was. The second left a reside of beeswax in my beard but gave my beard a fullness. This balm gives a fullness and dense look but without leaving beeswax in my beard. It liquifies quickly in my palms, goes on the beard beautifully, and gives my beard a soft, silky shine. Although it contains no beeswax, it does give my beard - which is wiry a great "hold" to avoid those "bad beard days." Apart from the great work on my beard, the balm really helps my hands, after doing physical work outside, from becoming dried out. So now after applying the balm to my beard, I rub the residual into my hands. Great - I have a wonderful looking beard, and my hands get conditioned also. It's like a multi-purpose product.
Excellent Product The whipped aspect of this balm really makes it extra easy to apply. It melts in your hand perfectly and is easy to work into your entire beard.

Fantastic Balm - Great Smell, Great Hold, Not Too Oily Fantastic product. If you're comparing balms, don't be concerned by the note about this one being "softer" than other balms because it lacks wax. I've used a few different balms now, and find that this one still has great hold and control even without wax. My one and only (trivial) gripe is that the jar/container it comes in is plastic, as opposed to the metal tins a lot of other brands use. Not an issue at all, just a minor aesthetic annoyance.

The shea butter base works excellently and offers good hold and a soft feel to your beard afterward. My beard and skin feel fresh all day! The scent stays noticeable but is never overpowering. My go-to is Big Thicket.
First Impressions The aroma is what starts this experience. Wonderful! I use a round brush to apply the balm. It works great and holds my beard in place quite nicely. My first impression though was getting the package and having a hand written note thanking my for my purchase. I knew then and there I was dealing with good people.

Go to scent This is one of my favorite scents from Texas Beard and always get compliments on it. It has a good woodsy smell
good product ordered big thicket balm and have had for a couple of months now, still have about half of the can. would have liked a bit of a stronger smell. but over all i like the product.

I used to use beard oil before but once you have a longer beard, beard oil jus doesn't cut it. The scent is really nice too. Only complaint is that the balm came kind of grainy, and even after microwaving and refrigerating it it didn't help.

Good stuff Does a great job conditioning and doesn't take a lot so the tin lasts quite a while. Pleasant smell, not overly strong and doesn't linger. Not really any hold to speak of, which is fine with me. Not greasy at all unless you over do it. Will buy again.
